Bronze Casting
These images are from a summer workshop on bronze casting that Michael taught at the College of the Redwoods Fine Woodworking Program. The goal of the class was to make the process accessible to woodworkers who want to make tools and hardware. Investment, resin-bonded, and green-sand casting were presented, as well as discussions of equipment design, finishing, and patinas. In 5 days students were able to design a casting, build a pattern, and cast from it.
